Paul O’Sullivan is an award-winning bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural (U.S.-Mexico) publicist
having served as a press secretary, policy advisor and community liaison for both government
and non-governmental organizations alike. Paul has led complex public outreach campaigns on
behalf of elected officials of both political parties, produced a variety of successful publicity
events (press conferences and newsworthy actions) and managed effective crisis
communication responses for both politicians and businesses. With client placements in the
Wall Street Journal, ABC News’ 20/20 and The Tonight Show, Paul’s greatest professional
accomplishment was providing more than 80 TV, radio and print interviews in just two weeks as
the spokesperson for the 2009 Little League World Series Champions. The volunteer effort
raised over $130,000 in donations for the league. Paul is the J. Simms Agency's Director of
Political and International Communications and specializes in producing quality videos - mini-
documentaries - for use in Internet marketing campaigns.
An identical twin, youngest of eight and native San Diegan, he is a former board member of the
World Affairs Council of San Diego, a co-founder of the San Diego-Tijuana Sister Cities Society
and an active member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Paul lives with his wife and the
youngest two of their four wonderful children in Chula Vista, California.
