Director, Acquisitions and Dispositions
H.G. Fenton Company has a real estate portfolio consisting of 3000-plus apartment units and over
three million square feet of commercial and industrial office space. As the Director of Acquisitions and
Dispositions for H.G. Fenton, Robert “Buddy” Bohrer is responsible for growth of the residential and
commercial real estate portfolio. Buddy also has a role in the planning, entitlement, and development of
the properties.
Prior to H.G. Fenton, Buddy started his career in the commercial real estate brokerage arena. Buddy
then transitioned from commercial real estate into residential acquisitions, working for Pardee Homes
and later Standard Pacific Homes.
Committed to volunteering his time, Buddy is involved in numerous organizations. He is currently
serving as: a Board Director for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association; Co-chair
of Legislative Affairs for NAIOP; Board Director for Wakeland Housing and Development Corporation,
a non-profit affordable housing developer; Board Director for the Boys and Girls Club of San Marcos;
Board Director for HomeAid San Diego; Member of the University of San Diego Real Estate Advisory
Council where his experience and foresight is helping guide college academics and regional policy. In
addition, Buddy was a past Board Director for the San Diego Building Industry Association (BIA). Finally,
he is a mentor to a University of San Diego Real Estate student.
Buddy enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys. Much of his free time is spent with his
family and coaching his son’s soccer team. When time permits he enjoys playing competitive tennis.
Mr. Bohrer has a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California and an
MBA with an Emphasis in Real Estate & Supply Management from the University of San Diego.
