Rachel Collins
HomeAid San Diego Board Director, President
Pardee Homes
Director of Sales
Pardee Homes began business in 1921 as a builder of quality custom homes. 90 years later the company
is still crafting homes with quality and craftsmanship, with a new focus on sustainability. Pardee has
been a leader in green building since 1998, long before it became fashionable, and Rachel Collins plays a
key role in Pardee’s green building initiative, LivingSmart.
As Director of Sales for the San Diego Division, Rachel Collins is responsible for managing all aspects
of the company’s sales department. She has been with Pardee since 1990 and has held the Director of
Sales position for the past 17 years. In her 20 years of experience, Rachel has won a few notable awards.
Her company honored her with the President’s Award, an award she won for her leadership example
in the opening of a LivingSmart community. In 2000, YWCA named her as an Honoree for their Tribute
to Women & Industry (TWIN) for her work in sales management. In 2006, the Southern California Sales
and Marketing Council (SAM) awarded her with the prestigious SAM award for Best San Diego Sales
Manager.
HomeAid and Pardee have had a long-term relationship. Pardee is a National supporter of HomeAid
and Rachel is the HomeAid San Diego Board President for 2010. Rachel also volunteers her time to
Project Playhouse and has done so for the past six years. Project playhouse is a building and design
contest where imaginative playhouses are auctioned off and the proceeds are donated to HomeAid.
Rachel also contributes her time to the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Walk. Team Pardee and Rachel
have been involved with the MS Walk for the past six years and have raised over $350,000 for the
organization. Finally, she has volunteered for the San Diego Building Industry Association (BIA) Cares
Board. BIA Cares is a non-profit organization that gives back to the local community and Rachel was a
past Board Member in 2008 and 2009.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her granddaughter. She also enjoys great food and
the company of great friends through her neighborhood dinner club. She likes getting outdoors with her
hiking club and loves to take the occasional weekend get-away with her husband.
Rachel received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Utah.
