About Sylvia's Place
Just six months after the San Diego chapter was formed, Pardee Homes broke ground on Sylvia's Place, HomeAid San Diego's first project. Fully 100% of the cost of the $158,830 renovation project was donated by Pardee Homes and their trade partners. Under the direction of Sullivan Group Homes, Sylvia's Place provides supportive housing for former foster youth 18-24 years of age who are in need of a safe and stable living environment. Located just east of downtown San Diego, Sylvia's Place is comprised of 8 studio apartments surrounding a central courtyard. Residents of Sylvia's Place are required to work or attend school while progressing toward self-sufficiency.
