HomeAid recognizes how challenging it can be for families and individuals to provide for their most basic needs during times of crisis and transition.
HomeAid works to provide dignity and restore hope through our Community Engagement programs. These programs and basic necessity drives provide the opportunity to provide additional resources to assist those experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Education and Training
Solutions start with education and awareness.
HomeAid accepts the responsibility to raise awareness, educate and advocate regarding the issues individuals, families, and our communities face concerning housing insecurity and homelessness.
Featured Projects
Past projects featured in this video from across HomeAid America include building and renovating shelters, transitional housing and programmatic facilities for at-risk individuals and families.
Since our founding in March 2002, HomeAid San Diego has completed projects to house emancipated foster youth, women with children who have been victimized by domestic abuse, and more.
The HomeAid WORKS (Workforce Opportunities for Rebuilding through Knowledge and Skills) Program was developed to offer a solution to address the critical labor shortage in the home building industry by providing technical construction training, education and job opportunities for at-risk youth, men, women, and veterans who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness or exiting homelessness.
